Yerevan.

Since Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Samvel Shahramanyan signed a decree on September 28, to dissolve the republic officially by January 1, 2024, in effect, no Armenians remain in Artsakh anymore.

Deputy Defence Minister Arman Sargsyan said that the servicemen of the already dissolved Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army could continue their service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

Artsakh President Samvel Shahramanyan met with the citizens who were displaced as a result of the recent military operations, left homeless and sheltered near the permanent location of Russian peacekeepers in Ivanyan.

Artsakh Authorities Agree to Russia-Brokered Ceasefire

The authorities of the Republic of Artsakh have agreed to a Russian-brokered ceasefire, which went into effect at 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday. The agreement includes the complete disarming of the Artsakh Defense Army and the protection of Armenians will fall under the jurisdiction of Russian peacekeepers stationed in Artsakh, says “asbarez”.

According to the information collected by the Office of the Artsakh Human Rights Defender, as of 21:30, at least 200 people have died, more than 400 wounded as a result of Azerbaijan’s large-scale aggression.

In a powerful letter sent this week to President Biden, the spiritual leaders of American Christians of Armenian heritage have urged him to take “immediate action to prevent a second Armenian Genocide from unfolding against the Christian Armenians of Artsakh at the hands of Azerbaijan.”
