Bulgaria: Missing Helicopter, Dead Pilot's Body Found

Sofia/Blagoevgad - Southwest Bulgaria

The helicopter, which was reported missing earlier on Friday, was found with the dead pilot's body in a remote ravine a couple of kilometres from the village of Garmen (Southwest Bulgaria), the Interior Ministry said Friday evening. A medical team is headed towards the scene.

A Lebanese school in Sofia started the new school year with nearly 500 pupils. It is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its founding and is now in a new building that will house only students from the school, which is named after Lebanese-American writer and poet Gibran Khalil Gibran, the organizers said.

The Bulgarian government has provided 500.000 levs (256.000 euros) for financing projects for Bulgarian communities in Albania, Serbia, Kosovo, Ukraine, Moldavia including civic organizations in North Macedonia with Bulgarian orientation.

“Gruevski want ‘Slavo-Macedonia’ to be part of Bulgaria”

Skopje.
The Albanian political bloc has voiced its anger over the decision of the Council of Ministers of the EU to put off determining a starting date for "Macedonia’s" accession negotiations in the next six months, "Macedonian" A1 television channel reports.

“Nikola Gruevski’s policy is not accidental. He does not want "Macedonia" to be part of Europe, but part of Bulgaria,” said the leader of the opposition Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) Menduh Thaci.

He called on the international community to turn "Macedonia" into a protectorate.

“The government should resign because it is not legitimate any longer,” said Thaci.
