Aleppo, Syria.

On Monday, Turkish intelligence transferred four Kurdish men from Afrin, northwest Syria, whom had been arrested earlier in the day, to a prison within Turkish territory.

Turkish intelligence, accompanied by their affiliated Military Police of the Syrian National Army (SNA), apprehended four individuals after raiding their homes in the Mabata district of Afrin. They were charged with collaborating with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), a source from the Military Police, told North Press on condition of anonymity.

The source added that “an armed unit belonging to Turkish intelligence, with support from the Military Police, raided the homes of civilians in the Mabata district at around 5:00 pm, and arrested four individuals, including a 68-year-old elderly man.”

The source said that Turkish intelligence immediately transported the detainees to Turkish territory via the al-Hamam border crossing, located north of the town of Jindires in the Afrin countryside.

The detainees were subjected to physical assault by the intelligence personnel, and two of them were identified as Imad Kino, 68, and Asaad Farwan, 31, according to the Military Police source.
