The People's Defense Forces (HPG) announced the killing of 8 Turkish
occupation soldiers, on the anniversary of the founding of the Women's Army and
the the martyrdom of leader Beritan.
Media Center of HPG issued a statement on the anniversary of the founding of the Women's Army and the martyrdom of leader Beritan, in which it revealed a number of specific operations carried out by the forces against the Turkish occupation army in the Media Defense areas in southern Kurdistan, which read:
“Our forces carried out many operations to commemorate the leader,
Comrade Beritan Gulnaz Karatas, and to welcome the 30th anniversary of the
founding of the Free Women’s Units-Star (YJA-Star). In these operations, which
took place under the leadership of the Free Women’s Units-Star, 8 occupation
soldiers were killed and one soldier was wounded, one of the surveillance
camera systems (Mobesse) and one of the Turkish occupation army sites were
destroyed.
