US forces
in Syria brought down two drones that were targeting them, leading to some
minor injuries, US officials said on Thursday, with Washington on heightened

burying its dead Friday after a drone attack on a military academy graduation

US forces carried out a helicopter raid in northern Syria on
September 28, capturing an “ISIS facilitator” named Ibrahim al-haji Shaykh, US
Central Command said on Saturday. This is the latest helicopter raid by US
forces in Syria and appears to be part of an increase of these types of
operations.

announced the establishment of a China-Syria strategic partnership.
The Syrian
civil war has been ongoing for over 12 years. During this time, the population

States Military reported moved 95 tankers’ worth of Syrian crude oil out of the
country for sale abroad from September 9-10, with two separate convoys of 40
