ANHA correspondents from the city of Manbij reported that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries launched sporadic ground attacks on several axes on towns and villages in the northern and western countryside of Manbij, since the early morning hours, to which the Manbij Military Council forces responded.
The ground
attack of the Turkish occupation state mercenaries is accompanied by artillery
and missile shelling, which is met with a response from the forces of the
Manbij Military Council.
According
to the spokesman for the Manbij Military Council, Shervan Darwish, their
defending military forces repelled the attacks at all points that were
attacked, and were able to push back the attacking mercenaries north of Manbij,
the village of Aoun al-Dadat, while the clashes are still continuing in the
northwest countryside near some other villages. (Al-Mohsenli, Arab Hassan, Um Jaloud,
Al-Sayada and Al-Dandaniya).
The
escalation and ground attack by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation
state, coincides with the operation launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces
"Security Enhancement" in Deir al-Zor to target ISIS mercenary cells,
and drug dealers in the region, in an attempt to exploit the forces'
preoccupation with the operation.
