A new statement issued by the Al-Qassam Combat Brigades, the main military
branch of Hamas, reported the destruction of two Israeli Army (IDF) tanks near
the Al-Shati camp in the Gaza Strip using Yassin 105 anti-tank missiles.
Earlier, the Qassam brigades also announced the destruction of three other tanks, one armored personnel carrier and a bulldozer in the same area, thereby increasing the total number of tanks destroyed since the beginning of the day to five.
The use of Yasin-105 anti-tank missiles indicates the high potential of
this weapon in the fight against armored vehicles. At its core, the missile is
a grenade launcher with a tandem warhead.
The Israeli side has not yet provided official comments on the statements
of the Al-Qassam brigades.
