The humanitarian truce in Gaza will start tomorrow at 7 am, and the first round of the hostage exchange deal at 4 pm, Egyptian media outlets cited the Qatari Foreign Minister.

The Qatari authorities expressed their hope to reach a permanent truce in Gaza, highlighting the first round of the hostage exchange will include 13 women and children.

Various countries including the US thanked Egypt and Qatar for their efforts to reach a deal between Hamas and Israel, including a ceasefire in Gaza.

Earlier, media sources attributed the delay in the start of the truce that was agreed upon between Israel and Hamas, with Egyptian, Qatari, and American mediation, to the “last minute” details and the identity of those scheduled to be released.

On Thursday, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted an unnamed Palestinian official as saying, “The delay in implementing the truce agreement is due to last-minute details about the identity of the kidnappers and the method of releasing them.”

Yesterday, Wednesday, the Hamas movement and the Israeli government announced that they had reached a temporary ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, with a deal to exchange prisoners and detainees between the two parties, and bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

Hamas explained that it had reached an agreement with Israel to exchange 50 hostages held in Gaza, in exchange for a cessation of fighting for 4 days.

The agreement also includes the release of 150 Palestinian women and children detained in Israeli prisons, in addition to allowing increased humanitarian aid to Gaza.
