German parliamentarians: Turkey commits crimes in Autonomous Administration areas

German parliamentarians confirmed that NE Syria are going through great challenges, and are exposed to crimes and violations by the Turkish state, and the international community must fulfill its responsibilities regarding them, and they stressed on establishing security and stability in the Autonomous Administration areas, and providing the necessary humanitarian support to them.

A delegation from the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria,, held two separate meetings in the German Parliament building in the capital, Berlin, with each of the parliamentarians from the ruling Socialist Party, Michael Müller, the parliamentarian from the Left Party, Gokay Akbulut

During these two meetings, the latest developments in  Syria, and the Autonomous Administration areas in particular, were discussed, views  were also exchanged on the prospects for a political solution and ways to end the Syrian crisis.

Abdul Karim Omar, representative of the Autonomous Administration, touched on the war crimes committed by Turkey against  NE Syria, and the ISIS file, in addition to the need to support the Autonomous Administration.

For her part, parliamentarian Gokay Akbulut said: “It is necessary that the war in Gaza does not divert attention from the region of NE Syria, as these regions are going through great challenges and are exposed to crimes and violations by the Turkish state, and the international community must fulfill its responsibilities regarding them.”

Akbulut added: “We communicated with our government and expressed to it the need to send a fact-finding committee to investigate Turkish crimes and violations in NE  Syria, similar to what it did in Ukraine.”

Parliamentarian Akbulut confirmed that they officially called on the German government to stop: “Military cooperation with Turkey, especially in the field of providing it with drone technology, which Ankara uses to kill civilians and destroy infrastructure in NE Syria. These are all violations classified as war crimes under international laws.”

In turn, Parliamentarian Michael Mueller said: The terrorist threat still exists, and it does not pose a threat to the region alone, but rather it is a cross-border threat that threatens the entire world. Therefore, we believe in the need for the international coalition to continue its missions in NE Syria to confront terrorism.
