Vucic claims that Kosovo is forming strong forces with US’ support

President
of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said that Kosovo is forming extremely strong forces
and that the process is managed by America, contrary to international law and
UN resolution 1244, stressing that because of this, Serbia must drastically
strengthen its military.
“By 2027, they plan to have 5,500 professional soldiers in the so-called Kosovo Security Forces and 20,000 in the reserves,” said Vucic, during a tour of the Duty Operations Center of the Military Security Agency (VBA).
He said
that this is not allowed according to international law and the decision of the
United Nations, but that they are not interested in it „because they can.“
He also
stressed that Kosovo receives the largest military aid from the USA, Turkey,
Germany, Great Britain, but also from neighbouring Croatia.
According
to him, the situation is not easy because Serbia is surrounded by the NATO
alliance, whose forces are also deployed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is
not a NATO member.
„We must
have a strong army, because without it we cannot exist as a country,“ Vucic
underlined.
Serbia to manufacture
thousands of kamikaze drones
Serbia’s
military industry will start serial manufacturing of “several thousands” of
suicide drones to be ready for country’s army by the end of this year,
according to President Aleksandar Vucic.
