Talat Xhaferi has been proposed as a candidate for technical prime minister
until the election of the new Government in North Macedonia.
This proposal was confirmed by Bujar Osmani after the meeting of the Democratic Union for Integration,
Xhaferi is
expected to take over the leadership of the Government of North Macedonia from
January and it will be the first time in history that the official Skopje is
led by an Albanian prime minister.
As for the
possible pre-election coalitions, Osmani said that the party bodies have
authorized the chairman Ali Ahmet to continue the negotiations and propose a
decision to the party with which it will go to the elections.
"We
have analyzed all possible options and variants for participation, as a party
alone and as part of the European front, and we have authorized the president
Ali Ahmeti to continue the talks and propose to the party a decision that will
be approved by the bodies of party", said Bujar Osmani, DUI
spokesperson.
