The MP of the Freedom Party, Petrit Vasili, in a post on Facebook, has
stated that the construction of palaces and towers continues in a frenetic
manner.
Vasili writes that Eurostat in 2022 construction in Albania occupied 11.1% of the gross added value, the highest in Europe and twice as high as the average of the European Union.

Millions of square meters of land and greenery are being ripped from the
concrete, but for whose benefit??
According to Eurostat, in 2022, construction in Albania accounted for 11.1%
of gross value added, the highest in Europe and twice as high as the European
Union average.
Do ordinary citizens benefit from all this horde of constructions?
The answer is very clear, Yes.
They gain nothing.
The prices of these apartments are such that the ordinary citizen could
never buy them.
Thousands of apartments are unsold in Tirana.
Then the question arises why were they built??
So all this destructive tower hysteria is clearly a giant money laundering
mechanism of crime and corruption supported with all its strength by the
government itself as a direct beneficiary of them.
The ordinary citizen is only mocked by the government, our cities are
turned into mountains of concrete and the formal economy of the country does
not benefit from anything important and long term.
Only the government and its clients, as well as the mafia that launders its
criminal money, are happy.
The mafia construction bubble will deflate quickly and you will feel the
earthquake, the economy, the environment and ordinary citizens on whose
shoulders fall the crises produced by the mafia government in power.
