The American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, has arrived in Tirana. The
plane in which Blinken was traveling landed at the “Mother Teresa” airport at
around 11:12.
Blinken was hosted at the airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani. As part of this visit, measures have also been taken by the police, where 1,500 officers will be on standby, while some roads are blocked for drivers.
The American diplomat is expected to stay until 20:00. He will meet with
Prime Minister Edi Rama, President Bajram Begaj and will hold a meeting with
young people at Piramida.
ABC News reported earlier that the American
diplomat will also sign several agreements in Tirana.
It is about a memorandum between Albania and the USA against the
manipulation of information of a foreign state, which is about cooperation in
defense against cyber-attacks.
