The Government of Serbia has today sent the President of the Republic a reasoned proposal for the dissolution of the People's Assembly and the announcement of elections for deputies.

Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic said that he had a difficult meeting with EU and US representatives, and important meetings await him in Brussels in the coming days, Belgrade's Beta News Agency reported on Saturday.

Serbian Defense Minister Miloš Vučević made a statement on October 4 regarding the reduction of troops “along the administrative line” with Kosovo, which has decreased from 8,350 to less than 4,500. Vučević emphasized that this reduction signifies a “redeployment of forces” rather than a complete withdrawal.
