Turkish drone strike targeted a checkpoint in Manbij.
The Turkish intelligence teams destroyed on Tuesday nearly 50 facilities belonging to the PKK terror group in several Syrian cities, with senior terrorists targeted as well, security sources said.

The
Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on Friday carried out an attack on Turkish
troops in the Kurdistan Region, killing three and injuring four others,
Turkey’s defense ministry announced.
"Our Air Forces struck 14 targets in the Gara, Hakurk and Qandil
regions in northern Iraq used by the separatist terrorist organization,"
the ministry said on X, releasing a statement on the platform about the strikes
which took place at 7 p.m. Turkey time (1600GMT).
During the
meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties
and exchanging security and intelligence information to combat terrorism, a
reference to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The Turkish
defense ministry on Friday said its air forces targeted 17 alleged positions of
the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in the northern Kurdistan Region where local
officials confirmed the strikes.

On Monday, Turkish intelligence
transferred four Kurdish men from Afrin, northwest Syria, whom had been
arrested earlier in the day, to a prison within Turkish territory.
In a recent survey by the newly founded “Kurdish Barometer,” nearly 60
percent of the respondents living in Turkey stated that they were discriminated
against because of their Kurdish identity. Accordingly, Kurds also still
believe that education in their first language is vital for them.
A Turkish
court on Wednesday charged four members and officials of two pro-Kurdish
political parties for their alleged links with the Kurdistan Workers’ Party
(PKK) two days after they were arrested.

Turkey has been bombing sites in northeast Syria since Thursday, hitting
civilian and military targets and infrastructure and causing casualties, according
to Kurdish authorities.
On Monday,
Turkish military helicopters struck Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) positions in
the foothills of Matin Mountain, north of Duhok Governorate in Iraqi Kurdistan.
In late August, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani stirred the pot of existing tensions when he ordered the evacuation of the Iraqi military’s Joint Operations Command headquarters in Kirkuk and gave it back to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)—the dominant political party in Iraqi Kurdistan.
